Dimmed moods are not playable yet, the same as in the app.
From a song you like
Bring a song. Get a mood that feels like it.
Drop in an audio file. Undersong listens to it on your Mac and finds the closest mood, or makes your own mood that follows the song’s feel.
Choose how close to stay: keep the melody and rhythm, or keep only the feel. The song never leaves your Mac.

Pick a few tags, add a sentence in your own words, and test 20 seconds before you save. Set a calm end and an energetic end, and the slider moves between them.
